Adviser charging and moving to a different business model, away from commission dependence creates the need for most IFA firms to do something differently apart from attaining Level 4. Many IFAs still only receive remuneration as a result of the existence of a product, and not as a result of the advice that generated the conclusion that the product was necessary. Essentially, Adviser charging changes that, and TCC believes IFAs need help to understand this and act. TCC will help Advisers explore the psychological and attitudinal changes which may be needed to embrace a change of business model, and to equip them with a practical toolkit to apply those changes.
